Startup Basecamp includes Epoch Boats as a climate tech company to watch, February 2022
We consider ourselves to be a climate tech company that "makes really cool boats". We think if we can make our boats exciting to consumers AND help make boating a more sustainable recreation then its a win-win.
Startup Basecamp is a membership based community platform for founders, experts and investors around the world who are seeking to contribute to the fight against climate change.
As part of a monthly series, Startup Basecamp has a weekly feature of "incredible climate tech startups, companies, or projects that are leading the fight against the climate crisis." They highlight startup that work in a number of fast-growing industry categories, showcase the problems they solve and the impact they are looking to have in the climate fight.
Epoch Boats is excited to be featured in the February 2022 Week 1 roundup of startups to watch. We're building high performance, low maintenance, eco-friendly boats that the average American can afford. In doing so we hope to solve serval boater problems like:
- Direct Pollution caused by emissions, fuel and oil spills from recreational boats
- Hassle and Indirect Pollution caused by maintenance needs and waste materials
- Costs associated with maintenance and fuel
- Utilization sitting idle providing no value
